C220 Head Work Help
I'm setting up to replace the head gasket of my 96 C220 310k mi. Anyone in the forum done this kind of work that can help or guide me as I get into the more 'complicated' aspects? Greatly appreciative.

Have you ever removed a cylinder head before?
Do you have the needed splined socket for the head bolts? Do you have instructions on cam timing? IF you are going to proceed? send me a PM & I will e-mail you some instructions.

Just wanted to follow up on this.
I decided to have the head done by my indy last fall. He did a good job overall. No more coolant and oil loss. Also replaced the wiring harness that I ended up getting from the dealer. Only thing I noticed ever since the head job is the intermittent starting issue. The car starts fine half of the time. Otherwise it dies upon starting unless you press the gas a bit for a few seconds to raise idle and then it stabilizes. It never dies once its running. I've looked at the MAF and I don't think thats the problem. The only other thing I could think of is a possible vacuum line issue but don't know where to start with that one. Any thoughts?
