Cheapy AC retrofit DOES work- FOR NOW .

Thank you to all that responded to my previous post regarding the same AC questions. Yes my question regarding using a modified shop vac to evacuate was well…. as I posted very naïve – however that’s why I asked and now I know. With regards to the kit working for one to two years and then – as warned -- my AC system will crash and I will face major $$$ repairs. I think that’s great if I can defer paying $2000 or more for even one summer season let alone two. When and if my AC stops working then I will just have to join the AC less club and use my sunroof ( that now works thanks to Peter of this board) and windows and a large ice coffee during the drive home.
