Spark plug boot replacement on W140

Hey guys,

I am wrapping up the 90k service on my 95 s 420 and noticed a spark plug boot in need of replacement. I ordered the part along with all the other tune up parts from fastlane but when I received the part it wasn't obvious as to how it installed. I figured that there would be some type of retainer that held the wire in place in the boot but I could not find anything. Does the old boot have to be cut off and the plug wire stripped and inserted into the new boot?

Thanks in advance!

Brian

the plug end just screws on to the wire. hold the wire and unscrew the end just like a bolt. when installing, don't overtighten and give it a little tug to verify correct installation.
