unidentified part

Did not pay attention to disassembly and now can't identify a part placement while updating from single timming chain to double. Can anyone help me out.

1983 Mercedes Benz 380SEL (126 Chassis) V8-3839cc 3.8L SOHC (116)
picture is attached as file - there are no part #'s on it.

It's a FACTORY ASSEMBLY BUFFER to keep the TORQUE CONVERTER from falling out of the bellhousing on the assembly line or during R&R of the transmission . . .
