Removing spark plug wires (1999 E320)

Hey everyone, I have been trying to remove th espark plug wires on my 199 E-320 (W-210) and they seem to be really hard to pull off of the actual spark plug. Is thi snormal, or do I nbeed a special tool to remove these wires?
I am trying not to force them off too hard. Don't want to break anything..... Am I doing this right??
