Servicing W140

Hi,
Firstly apart from notifying me when a service is due, does the computer advise of any other problems?

Also how can check the oil level for my gearbox?

If I want to get my car tuned, is it done via a computer?

I've also heard that items like the electric window one shot down is programmed by computer. Is this true?, and do I have access to check program settings for the car?
