I put 80/100 watt headlight bulbs for my 90 560SEL. Do I need to get a wiring harness or can my car handle the extra wattage? Does anyone have experience with overwattage bulbs? Will my wiring melt?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Mike

You can damage the wiring harness on this one. You may need to install a new NAPA or other US spec plug housing that can withstand the additional heat and amperage.
