Wierd! Brake wear light on key off, no glow key on.
Well guys things just got really wierd!
1984 W201/190D 2.2 Yesterday after a hard rain here in Texas, I found my brake wear indicator light dimly lit when I entered the car, key off. When I turned the key, the preglow light didn't light off! The engine cranked, but would not start, it was obvious the glow plugs were not lighting off. I found if I depressed the brake pedal prior to turing the key, the wear light gets brighter, and when I turn the key, the glow plugs now work, and the car starts! I didn't have time to look at the wiring diagrams, I hope to do so tonight, I am stumped, any input would be appreciated. Mack, Austin Texas |

Just went out and disconnected the front brake wear sensor wires at the fender connectors, no help.
