Blue smoke on startup 117 / stalling

Blue smoke on startup only ... burns 1/2 qt in 1500 miles otherwise with nothing visible after startup... runs rough on startup also.. my guess is valve stem seals and the bit of oil is semi-fouling the plugs causing the rough running for a short amount of time (15-30 seconds) .. 128K miles... 1984 500 SEL... do not know history except mileage checked out on CARFAX. Any other things I should look for? Intermittent stalling also -may be unrelated to above -- will stall going down the highway or sitting at stoplight... kind of acts like frozen fuel line but it is not that... always starts up again sometimes before car is even stopped rolling. REading posts suggests fuel pump relay.. any other thoughts? Thanks... great forum!!
