Does MB still mark their cars with VIN stickers on each body panel?

I think this practice begain in 1986/1987 on the then new W124 cars. At least both my '87 and '91 W124's have them (Hood, Front Fenders, Hinge side of all doors, trunk/tailgate, rear quarter inside trunk, rear bumper) the '84 did not.

I recently looked at a 1995 E320 wagon and was surprised that I could not find one on the car sans the one on the tailgate where the plate goes. I rejected the car as a possiblity due to this discovery. I just want to confirm wheather or not MB continues this practice and if it has stopped does anyone know what year.
