Wiring and grounds
Over the past few months several things happened intermittantly, but always together. Most of these are on one fuse and the symptoms make me think something is going to ground somewhere. I would loose my central locking system, my stereo quit and read E2, the interior light serviced by the door jam switch stayed on, and the fasten steat belt light blinked. I'm resonably sure it is a funky ground and have cleaned under the hood and in the trunk. I know there is one behind the dash. How do I get to it? Any other thoughts?

There are grounding points all over the place on MB vehicles. If you're talking about the 300E listed in your profile, there's a grounding point on the floor behind the ashtray. It's easy to get to so it's worth looking at.
