I'm new to the ShopForum and also the proud 2nd owner of a '90 300e. The car has only about 75K miles and it's only problems are that the A/C doesn't work and it doesn't start right up. The A/C I will deal with later. But it almost acts like carburated engine when starting. If i just turn the key it starts and then dies. If I pump the pedal and start it, it starts up and I then give a bit more gas to get it idling smoothly. It idles and runs perfect, but does have a bit of a sluggishness when pressing the gas while driving. It does take off when floored though. Any clues would be appreciated. Also, is there an aftermarket repair manual for the 300e? Thanks.

there are many posts on this subject, eps. on the 300E's, one being my own. Do a search, u'll come up with a list. Heres some for starters, Dirty/clogged injectors, bad OVP Relay <~~ Check this if it's happening a lot in the warm weather. it's right behind the battery aka overload relay. Get the pic from Fastlane if you don't know what it looks like.
