91 350 Sd Temperature Gauge Not Working

Need some help.

After the mechanic changed the transmission on my car the temperature gauge stopped working ( most likely the transmission has nothing to do with the temperature gauge but I would like to tell the whole story).

I checked the temperature gauge it is good as a unit ( i connected a completely different temperature sensor and it works) but does not show temperature with regular temp. senson in car

I thought it is broken temp sensor so i purchased a new one but it is still the same gauge does not show temperature.

Any help appreciated

sounds like your wire is broken somewhere between the sensor and the guage. check that

I don't think it is a broken wire because when I put a different temp sensor it shows temperature ( the real one has 2 pronges , i put one with one pronge , on original is 130 c temp and on one that I put is maybe 90 c , when driving the fans are comming on even with + 15 c outside ) it must be something different I think
