Dots of rust appearing above the black plastic trim lodged between the V groove of the trunk on/above plate lights.Can one remove the trim without too much tearing apart to get at the rust?

I think that there are some little nuts inside the trunk lid that you have to remove.

Thank you for the tip.How does one remove/where to pry open the trunk lid inside moulding to get at the inside of the trunk lid.
