S420 engine bay - is this right?

Looking at the engine bay of an S420 in the area near the right hood hinge, there are some exposed wires. Is this right? Is there no cover for this area?

Thanks,
Sixto

Sixto, my 93 600sel looks exactly like your photograph from that angle. I don't believe anything is missing, and I believe that those lines are either air or vacuum for your hvac system. One of the more knowledgeable members will hopefully confirm/correct me.

You didn't say which year... I believe W140

YES those are fine. They are vacum line used to control the flap for "fresh air" or "no fresh air". Obviously open and close tha flap according to the control.

The blower motor is right below plastic board...
