Here comes another in my rapid fire postings
I had the car on a lift the other day to have the rear brake pads replaced and I noticed that there was a bit of oil on the belly pan. Upon inspection, it turns out the oil pan gasket is leaking slightly. I'm looking to get this taken care of in the next two weeks but I'm at the mercy of my shop to do it on a Saturday because I work during the day. Am I treading on thin ice or should I be ok? Thanks... ------------------ Chris Singh 1983 300D 1990 300E Black Pearl Monotone w/ chrome AMG monoblock II 17", custom multimedia system 1993 500SEL brilliant silver w/ AMG monoblock II 19" http://benz.mp3car.com http://stormworks.max3d.com |

If the leak is from the oil sub-pan then Saturday will be fine. But the main pan on W140 V8s is quite a job!

If you are sure that is where it is from. I have seen most often the oil canister and the oil level sender leak on these.
