97 e320 tranny question

please help?

i have a vibration coming through the tranny at 35mph as soon as the lockup locks up.
at higher speed it is not that nocible and seems better when oil gets hot.
have changed the trans. fluid as car has done 64k....still the same.....also changed trans. mounting bracket...

IS THIS THE START OF A PROBLEM OR IS THERE ANY ADJUSTMENTS??????

THANKS
SPIKE

One procedure suggests to erase the current adaptations and relearn the shifting.

The adaptation values for the shift in question should be noted and shouldn't be above 180 for a six cyl. After a period the adaptations should then be monitored to see if high readings come back.

Yes a scanner will be needed to view the values. The controller might loose its adaptations by unplugging it.

thanks steve

do you believe that the vibration is due to the electronics not shifting properly (and resetting it will cure it) or is there a problem looming with the tranny.

thanks

Talking

SORRY GUYS.
i thought i would just try one more time and see if anyone has any advise.

i am concerned that it could be the start of a tranny problem and would rather get rid of the car if it is.

thanks
