Why so many grounds on Euro cars??

Just wondered why there are so many grounds on Euro cars,,, especially Mercedes ? There must be 30 ground wires just in the trunk of my SL.

probably because they know what they are doing a large percent of ele.problems can be traced to bad grounds.I ordered a window regulater for my Euro 500 SE when it came it was the wind up type as I didn't think to tell Phil that it had ele windows.
The Euro regulator was about twice as sturdy as the electric one and a third the price.I would buy another Euro car without any hesitation, The only problem I had was insuring it, had to change companies after being with same one for ten years with no claims ,moving violations or late payments...........
