I purchased new wheels, i got them balanced, i got a new shock damperner, and i got new tires but i still get some vibrations,once i go beyond 40mph. The steering wheel vibrates but not a whole lot. Its annoying.
Could it be from my wheel bearing, perhaps it needs adjustment or could it be my shocks,but they seem fine.The dealer could help, so i guess im on my own.
Can someone suggest what i can do?

Worn ball joints can do this and are not an uncommon replacement item on an '87.

Did this problem start when you put on the new wheels?

It sure did Larry, Is it common for that to happen. It seem like after i put on the new tires it started to vibrate. And, i changed the front wheel and it still vibrates.

Be sure that any aftermarket wheel that you use centers the same way that MB uses. That way is to center on the hub NOT the lugnuts. If you have wheels that center on the lugnuts every time you mount the rims you will change your center more than any balancing equiptment can handle - the balancing equipment probably mounted the wheel on the hub center.

Aftermarket wheels often have irregular wholes in the center as they achieve their "proper" position on the car by that which is achieved when the lugs are tightened, usually into a champhered lug hole (hopefully at least).

A factory MB wheel centers itself onto the car on the hub. The hole in the center of the wheel determines the center of the installed position. Try positioning a factory wheel. If someone in the car holds the brake you can spin the wheel on the hub and the lugbolt hole will pass by direct on center. Does that help?

Like i said it first started happening after i changed the tires because of a flat. I hit an object in the street on the high way and maybe that has something to do with it. Could it be that the dampner is bad, even though is had it replace less than a year ago,or could it be the wheel bearing or the shocks , what are my option. I mean the dealership simply said its the age of the car that brings about the slight vibration, when i know it wasnt vibrating before the flat.As a matter of fact it use to run and accelerate so smootly, it was as if i was in the space shuttle. Tell me what i need to do to pinpoint this problem.
