transfer case function light

I have an 1995 G300 LWB. Recently, I went down under the car and found a two pin connector was not conected to the transfer case, purposedly, and when I connect it, the red function light for the transfer case on the center console lights up and will not turn off eventhough, I took out the kew out of the ignition. Can you hel me?
