Hi..
I have a question about warranty coverage for mercedes. I had my drivebelt cracked. The dealer replaced it for me. My question is, Will the warranty cover it or not? What is mean by bumper to bumper warranty? thanks a lot.. |

It depends on the type of warranty. If the car is under the original waranty, it will be covered provided there wasn't a 3rd party to have caused or attempted to cure the problem. If the car has a Starmark warranty, it is just about the same as the original warranty. If the warranty is the extended factory warranty you'll get somewhat the same coverage as with the original warranty, depending on which extended warranty (there are 2 to my knowledge). If the warranty is from somewhere else, then it would depend on the inclusions of the warranty.
All this said, generally a "bumper to bumper" warranty covers everything between those 2 points Hope this helps. ...tracy |

In most cases warranty does mean parts that wear out; i.e. tires, brake pads, belts, & like parts.

Thanks for replying..
I purchased that warranty from the dealer where I usually serviced my car. It is DFS warranty. I bought it in Penske Motorcars located in East Garvey(accross the 10 freeway). Anybody had any experiences with this dealership? thanks anyway |
