Interior trim R&R for re-wiring

I am routing new wires in my 400E, and need help with two removals;
First, the rear seat cushion. There are two metal tabs under the seat, and I've tried pushing, pulling and sliding, but without result. Before I use more force, does anyone know how to remove this cushion?
Also, I need to get to the bottom of the console switch mounting panel. I have the wood trim off but can't see how to remove the switch mount plate.
