I have a 75 MB 240D. The Benz will not start, I have had the starter checked and also turned the flywheel to make sure that the engine turns over, I get a noise when I go to try to start like the solinoid is bad but my parts guy tells me that the starter is fine, I have tried to jump start it with no luck and charged the battery but the car wont start. This is completely confused me and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is the engine turning over when you try to start it or do you just hear a click? Need some more info here.
