I own a '85 !90E and I'd like to know if there's any way that I can get superwhites/hyperwhites for my car. I already know that my headlight unit is a sealed, one piece. Are there any aftermarket pieces/parts out that that I can overcome this problem?

Vutown,

I'm not familiar with this particular car. Are you saying that it has sealed beam headlamps?

If it does, you have two choices:

Buy a pair of aftermarket sealed beam replacemnts, Hella makes them among others. They have H4 bulbs which just plug into your sealed beam connector. They run about $60 or $70.

Check with Mercedes Shop to see if they carry European Headlights for your model. If not there are other MB specialty houses that could supply them. This would probably cost at least $500. It could be that the European lights would not be legal in California, so you should check into that before purchase and installation.

Good Luck,

Vutown:

I recently installed Euro headlights on my 1986 190E 2.3-16V, I also had Euro headlights on my 1984 190E 2.3 (full AMG). If you've got the $$$, this is THE way to go -- great looks and more bulb options (they use H4 mains, H3 fogs). Bekkers (www.bekers.com)has them at $450.00 for the pair. I also installed the clear corner lenses and smoked taillights. The car looks waaaay cool.

Good luck.

Brian

Brian16V,

Thanks for the piece of advice, but however, I do not wish to spend that amount. if possible, do you know where else I can get the lights for my MB for about $100?
