96 C280 Cooling System Adapter

Hi,

I need to find an adapter to use with the Stant tester to test pressurize the cooling system on the 96 C280. I can only find adapters listed for the E class.

Thanks

The 1996 & later cars EXCEPT the M-class use the same screw thread. www.asttool. com lists M0349 as their part number. Their list is $56.91.

Thanks,

I called www.asttool.com and they gave me the same number and made reference that it was a screw type adapter. There seems to be some difference with what is being crossed and the actual coolant cap on 96 c280. See Pic

This looks like a standard radiator cap.

Thanks

With a standard "bayonet" cap you need NO adaptor with most cooling system pressure testors.

The replacement reservoir for that W202 chassis requires replacement of the cap as well, to the screw on style.

Great! It is nice not to have to purchase an adapter.

Thanks a lot
