My '84 500SEL oil pressure gauge sits at about 2.5 to 2.75 bar when I'm at an idle. It pegs while cruising. The engine is idling at about 800rpm. On my '85 300D the oil pressure gauge is sitting between 1 and 2 bar (as it sez in owners manual) while idling. The 500SEL seems to run fine with no problems.

Is this higher than normal oil pressure while idling something that I need to be concerned with?

Thanks fellas,
Frank
