Re: rough idling 300D
I put a little soap water around the injectors. noticed bubbles forming around 3 of the injectors. It should not leak at all right? Could this cause enough compression loss that would cause rough and missing idle?
Thanks

I wonder if the cylinders were hot and the water was boiling off of that area? Just a thought. It could leak a little, but I doubt that it would be enough to do what you are thinking.

Thanks Benzmac.

No, it bubbled right when I first cranked
her up. I also heard from Steve, his advise was the same, that it's not enough to make a difference, so i'm not going to be concerned over that.

Next I'm going to check fuel pump and compression. The injectors were just tested and cleaned. a-ok.

By the way, I know the fuel tank is full of algae. I changed out filters few weeks ago and the pre filter is already black again on screen (clear style filter) Have you ever seen algae as the culprit of causing a rough or missing idle? just curious. Only symptom i've ever had with stopped up filter was my engien would bog down and loose power at high speed, but not at idle. Thanks, Phill

You have an in-tank filter. Have you checked this?
