The automatic transmission holds a gear and then abruptly changes to the next gear, this happens sporadic: While driving on the highway the transmission will hold 3rd gear at 3,000 rpm while driving at 60mph and did not engage 4th to drop down the rpm to 2,000 rpm. After the car cools down and later driven the transmission engages normally through the gears.

Aside from normal service filter changes and checking the level, you should have a tech look at this. It could be something easy, or difficult.
Good luck with this. ------------------ Benzmac: Donnie Drummonds 1981 280GE SWB 1987 16V ASE CERTIFIED MASTER AUTO TECHNICIAN SERVICE MANAGER FOR 14 BAY FACILITY MERCEDES SPECIALIST 8 YRS PARTNER IN MERCEDESSHOP.COM |
