1993 190E Expansion Value

What do I need to remove to replace the expansion value?

The wiper assembly?
The sheet metal around the wiper assembly?

Have removed the plastic part behind the wiper assembly.

Don, I have replaced at least 100 W201 exp valves & you don't need to remove much at all. Loosen the suction line at the clamp & pull both suction & pressure lines away from the valve & then un-bolt the valve from the evaporator.
Flat rate is 1 hour.
