I just recently purchased my first Mercedes, a '93 400E. According to the manual it has an alarm indicator light on the center console just to the right of the hazard switch. It doesn't seem to flash when the car is locked. We know that the system works because we have tested it. Could this just be a burned out bulb or fuse? Are these difficult to replace? Or do you have to do something special to activate it other than locking the car?
By the way, this is a great website. Even my wife enjoys it! ------------------ Robert 93 400E |

Be sure to test the light at night...It is very hard to see. It is hidden inside a button.

Probably a bulb. Take it back to the dealer, they should replace it for you N/C.

Benzmac-
Thanks... you were right on with testing it at night. It works! Is there any kind of bulb replacement that would make it noticable in the daylight? ------------------ Robert 93 400E |
