W124 vs W210

I am buying a 1995 E320 cab (W124). I currently have a 1996 E320 (W210). Which of these cars is better and more reliable?.
I do not want to keep 2 mercedes. Apart from the convertible top is the 124 better built and more durable than the 210. I love my W210 but don't want to keep two benzes. Any suggestions?

I think those cars are equal in quality, some say the 124 is among the best Benzes ever, but the older a car is, the more important the maintenance history is.
I wouldn´t hesitate in keeping the Convertible if I had the choice...

They have the same engine and transmission. The major difference is that the '96 has the 215/55/16 tires (based on my '99) and the W124 has the 195/65/15 tires - your '96 probably takes corners better than the W124 will and the climate control in '94 and '95 is below average. The '94 I have takes a lot of maintenance. You know your '96 history. Hold onto both for a little while and see.

They share the same engine but not the trans. The w124's were relegated to the 4sp auto while the W210's had the 5 speed.

Actually the 95 124 chassis and 96 210 chassis, with the 104 motor, would both have 722.3 transmissions. The 210 didn't get the 722.6 5 speed immediately, it was 97 or 98 before it got it.
