Thanks to all - please read.
Hey - I'd just thought to share my thanks for this forum - it's a fantastic archive of EVERYTHING one needs to keep MB (in my case W123's) on the road.
Thanks to all for: Vacuum answers Differential answers Wheels & tyres and a whole lot more GENERAL knowledge... "Use the search..." I agree!! I spend man-YEARS on the john just leafing through the printouts I made... W123 heaven... Reason for post? (as a user, not a mech..!) I just managed to identify loads of parts I need (and some I would *like*) to replace - mainly steering rubbers etc and vacuum door actuators which, via this forum's continued energy, has made it possible to think... YES I CAN. and NOT... let's pay the local garage mucho $$ just to diagnose! I have done my diagnosis and now I am ready to fit! I have to say, I impressed myself... cheers guys.
