HELP! (dumb question)
My trusty '82 SD needs a new master cylynder. Cant get one without the chassis number........where do I find that?

Halfway up the driver side windshield pillar. It's on the inside but seen from the outside. Should also be on your registration papers!

Chassis number can also be found in the door jamb. One small point -- there is no reason you should have to provide a chassis number for a master cylinder for your car. There's only one choice and it's cheap as dirt.
