You may have to back out the rearmost studs from the head. Two nuts threaded onto stud, spray the studs with penetrating oil and work on the innermost nut to remove the stud. I don't know a whole lot about procedures for this car, but it is hard to imagine that the manifolds won't come off the head w/o fancy DIY engineering. Did you remove the down pipes from the manifolds? If not, that may be the problem. Good luck..
