Glove Box ???
I feel silly asking this, but I recently purchased a 1991 300E and having a most difficult time finding the glove box. I am beginning to think there is none

I don't own a 124, but I think you are correct. When they advanced to passenger side air bags, something had to give way to make room for the bag, that was in most models the glovebox. Most of the models with passenger side bags had a sliding cover box fitted into the center console.

124 Glove Box
These models do not have a glove as stated above. Could someone place on this thread the dimensions of the 300E glove box so that I could decide if I wanted to replace the passenger airbag with a glove box door. Thanks.

Maybe in those earlier years, the passenger airbag was optional and would take up the traditional glove compartment space if ordered.

The 91 300e has a glove box, not a passenger airbag. In 1992 they eliminated the glove box in favor of the airbag. Haasman
