Convertible latch leak
I have a 98 SL500. Is replacing the convertible latches over the windshield fairly easy for a DIY’er.
Thanks |

Depends on the DIYer, requires a torx bit set & about 1 hour.
WE rarely replace the complete latch($350. each) but only the hydraulic cylinder($140. each) Make sure to use the correct fluid & to top-off the fluid.

I am kinda handy with cars ( I am new to MB's ).
My problem is how to access the cylinder. Is it easy to get to? What size Torx are we talking about? Thanks a bunch. |
