All feedback control systems are best adjusted electronically. There is a value like duty cycle that can be monitored like a MB to calibrate that year Volvo.

The e320 automatically adapts so there is no adjustment. As was mentioned, it really doesn't do much good to know the exhaust is wrong, unless prepared to diagnose it.
