Question 1983 300TD Rear View Mirror Replacement

Can anyone give me instructions for replacing the rear view mirror on my 1983 300TD (123 body)? I don't see any screws or anything when I look under the flexible cover of the post holding the mirror to the roof. I'm sure I'm missing something simple.

Thanks

It pulls right off. Try rocking it back and forth firmly.

just pull it.. it comes off easily... however.. putting the new one is harder... tried it a lot of times.. whenever i had to remove the roofline to gain access to my leaking (and still) sunroof... ehehhe
