190E Steering Column Cover- how to take apart

I am in the middle of doing "the job" .... yes .... heater core. It is going fairly well .... just a lot of wires etc. I am using everyone suggestions and using baggies, digital photos, drawings etc.

I want to remove the steering column cover. Can anyone tell me how?

Thanks,

Haasman

The answer is: After the air bag and steering wheel are taken off, the central disk underneath must be removed via three very small philips screws. You can then unscrew the three long philips holding the turn signal/cruise control and the after removing the wiring, the cover will come off.

Thanks for your encouragement Gilly.

Haasman

This picture is what I am describing as the central disk under the sterring wheel ....
