Any opinions on whether fuel injector cleaner additive is of much value? My 190E has 125K miles on it, and idles just a bit rough. I know there are many other possible causes, but I was considering some additive. If you think its of some value, any brand preferences?

I drive a diesel MBZ and use a product by Lubry-Moly and it works great. I know they make a fuel system for gas cars, but I have not personally used it.In my race cars I used Techron by Chevron. My advice is to install new fuel filters and then run a bottle of this cleaner through the car.
Good luck and let us know how it works. |

Ted, I think the Red Line Complete Fuel System Cleaner is by far the best on the market. Available through Pep Boys and PartsShop. Amsoil also makes a product called P.I. supposedly good stuff. ------------------ Rgds, Aaron Greenberg MB technician Precision Motorcars, Cincinnati, Ohio '67 250SE Cabriolet '77 450SL '80 300SD '85 380SE '89 420SEL '93 300E 2.8 '74 Jensen Interceptor Mk.III '81 DeLorean DMC12 '85 BMW 745i Turbo |
