Sears DMM with duty cycle - how to use?

I can't find the instructions for my Larry Bible recommended Sears DMM with duty cycle. When I set it to duty cycle/frequency mode, it reads in Hz and the values can exceed 100. How do I get it to display duty cycle in percent? Is it a calculation or something it knows based on the input?

Thanks,
Sixto

Haven't used mine for this yet, but my guess is that the 'range' button would toggle between options at any given rotary switch clickstop. That is how you select the different voltage ranges, e.g., when you don't want autoranging.

Yeah hit the range button and watch the % symbol pop up.

If you have the meter in my picture then 'range' is incorrect. The top left button labeled "HZ/%" is the way to change the meter to read duty cycle. Hz is the default setting. You have to press it once and the % sign will appear. Also remember that this meter reads OFF/ON so the black connector goes to the #3 socket.

Cap, that's the meter I have. So black goes into X4 pin 3. Where does red go?

Thanks,
Sixto

red goes to ground. You can use #4 pin for that.

OK, let's clarify this.

I thought PIN 2 was ground, therefore black --- and PIN 3 was the data, therefore red.

Is that not right??

That's what I thought. However, you can look at mixture "backwards" by reversing the leads. I'm going to try reading RPM (#1) just for fun.
