I have read that you can pull the idle buffer bolt at the rear of the injection pump out are there any parts inside that I have to worry about falling out of place. I want to check the cond. of the end.

No parts to worry about. Just make sure the engine is off when taking it out.
The end should be convex. If it is concave, just replace the damper. ------------------ Benzmac: Donnie Drummonds 1992 500E (very soon I hope ![]() 1981 280GE SWB ASE CERTIFIED MASTER AUTO TECHNICIAN SERVICE MANAGER FOR 14 BAY FACILITY MERCEDES SPECIALIST 8 YRS PARTNER IN MERCEDESSHOP.COM [This message has been edited by Benzmac (edited 06-12-2000).] |

Does this apply to the four-cylinder (240D) engine as well, or just the turbocharged engine's injection pump? I'm inclined to believe that it only applies to the turbo's pump, but want to make certain.
