I'm having a problem with my 99 C230 and it is becoming more frequent. When I start the car none of the electrical items work such as the stereo, roof, wipers, and heated seats. If I shut the car off and resart it, everthing will work ok or sometimes after five minutes everthing will magically start working again. Does anyone have any advice or had similar problems.

Sounds like possibly a bad EIS (Electronic Ignition Switch)

I have the same problem with my 98 C230. The power seats don't work when you start the car. After you drive the car for about 2 or 3 miles, the seats start working. The problem started around 90K miles and has remained the same for the last 10K miles. I have checked the fuses and found no problems.

Any ideas? Where can I find a wiring diagram?
