420 engine pull
Heads are off and in the machine shop, cams look good, timing chain was changed at 149k, (currently 200k) looking at the upper rails and will change them since they are right there in front of me. I can see the lower origional rails down in there with good size groves worn in them. Going to be a pain in the ass to change them. Question is.....at this point should I go ahead and pull the engine and transmission completely out and do it on a motor stand? I am rebuilding the transmission anyway. One thing for sure, I can't leave the lower rails in there after doing all the rest of the work......right....????
