96 E300D pause in speeding up.
Recently my 96 E300D has developed a pause when stepping on the accelerator pedal. Most noticeable when standing in an intersection waiting to make a left turn. I step on the pedal and there's a few second pause before the engine revs up. Can anyone direct me to the problem? Help! Does anyone know where I can get the repair & Maintenance CDs for this car? No manuals are available.

I have been waiting for a service CD as well. I had one for my 124 and it saved me dozens of times. Although you will find this board to great too.
As for your problem, this is a shot in the dark as I have not yet needed to address this one myself... but you may consider inspecting the throttle linkages. They may be loose. Has this only begun recently? You may have just picked up a bad tank of diesel and/or have some water in the system. From your signiture I do not know where you live, winter?, or how many miles is on your car. Have any dash lights or messages been tripped?

Thanks for your response. The "pause" is intermittent, doesn't happen everytime. So I doubt if the linkage is at fault. Couldbe the fuel, I' m down to a quarter tank so I'll fill up from another station. No dash lights came on.
