Rear Heated Seats

Does anyone know if the seats from a 560 SEL can be put in a 300 SEL? Are the heaters in the seat itself or is it something that can be removed and put in a 300 rear seat? If that is possible what kind of nightmare would it be to wire this up? Would the 300 be prewired or would everything have to be installed? I would like to have the rear seat heaters but the reclining end of it is not so important. Anyone have any expierience with this sort of thing?

In other MBs of this vintage you can transfer the heating pads to exisiting seats. It might be the easier way to go. My 300SDL with reclining rear seat is not prewired for rear seat heater switches that I can tell.

The heating pads are physically sewn to the leather. Do a search on heated seats and you should find pictures by me on how to sew them in. As for whether the 300SEL has the relays or the wiring for them I don't know.
