Just caught the BBC News... seems that DaimlerChrysler is in the process of acquiring Hyundai, with further plans to control Daewoo as well. Anyone remember the Chairman (I think it was called?) - a rebodied 124 produced by yet another Korean manufacturer, Ssangyong? They have been supplying engines and technical expertise to these guys for wquite a while, so I guess DC appreciates that the Korean manufacturing environment allows for technical sophistication at low cost.
Now, I know this post shoudn't be here, but I figured that DC is going to have to provide some "tech help" to Hyundai! |
