Sometimes after the a/c is turned on I will hear a loud sound coming from the engine area and then the cool air turns warm in the blower. Seems like the a/c cuts out. What could be the problem. This is intermitant, sometimes can run a/c with no problem. Also when a/c is on, if car is idle the temp goes up quickly on gauge. As soon as car is in motion and not stop and start traffic the temp will go down (air flowing through engine seems to cool things down). What should be next course of action?
Thanks - 190E 2.6 (1987)

You may have a bad belt tensioner cause the compressor to switch off, about temp check the auxiliary fan operation it should switch on after air condition turn on freon pressure
is more then 250psi,check the fuse first most
time is the fuse.
