throttle actuator body

For the technicians here...

what do u think about installing a new throttle body.....versus going out to a junk yard and picking up a used one....

are these things fail prone or was it my luck of the draw that mine is suspected to be not working properly....

Are there ways to make it work better.....such as cleaning...or changing a coil....or resistance inside it......I mean it does not make sense that a man made equiment that expensive ....that is causing very minor Idle fluctuations...to be just tossed out and a new one put it...

Does not make sense to me.....we are not talking about a 100$ part...its 600$ thing...

the car is a 1996 c220 by the way with 74K
