I am starting a group buy for 500E EURO lights made by HELLA.

These are for the prefacelifted cars. 1986-1993 260E, 300E, 400E, 500E, 300D all w124 body styles including the 300CE.

I am doing the Group buy through PUMA, regular puma Price is $499 + shipping, the group buy price will be $459 + shipping for 5 sets. Payment will be sent to me in the form of money order, cashiers check or paypal through a bank account. I will put together a big cashiers check for PUMA.

Paul at PUMA is willing to ship directly from PUMA to whoever participates in this group buy through me, so that you dont have to pay double shipping (PUMA to ME, ME to you, you get the idea)

What is included?
1 pair front 500E EURO lights HELLA
2 Headlight bulbs (H4)
2 Driving light bulbs (H3)
2 City light bulbs (T4W)
2 Six pin connectors
1 set instructions

For $459 + shipping thats a great price for what it includes

Shipping will be about $25-$50.

What is not included that you need if you want to hook up vacuum adjust?
1 rosetta dial for vacuum adjust
1 vacuum adjust bezel for around your headlamp switch
1 rubber elbow
1 rubber T fitting
.5m of rubber for Misc. connections
5m of hard vacuum line

This stuff should be less than $100. IF you want this, I can get it from Germany this week, if not you can get it through the US dealer w/ part numbers, but it might take some time. My germany order should be here just after the start of the year, I have to complete ordering for Germany this week.

Sounds like I might be in on this one.....

I'm assuming he's selling the lights with 55/60 watt H4's and 55 watt H3's.
If it would help(?). I was going to do the GB from tdiparts.com for my A4 jetta. They are selling Ecode Hellas -$320 *shipped*.

Just a thought... I got my W123 Ecodes from Puma. They are forsale if someone is looking for a 3 yr old set of Euro's for a W123.

Yes, the bulbs are 60/55 W H4 and 55W H3s. I failed to mention the wattages

Some of you have emailed me that you will have to see what your wife gives you under the tree at christmas before you order the lights. just put your wife intouch with me and I can order them for you. J/k, there is no way they would be here until late january anyway.

Wonder why there isn't more interested in the lights.

I was hoping to get the parts for less than 100 dollars, but with the euro being so strong to the dollar it is difficult.

You may get more interest if you arrange for payment to be sent to Puma directly. For $40 more most people will use a credit card directly with Puma and have the option to charge-back if they don't ship for some reason.

We trust you - I'm just explaining the relative level of comfort in the choice of transactions.

This is how I set it up with paul at PUMA. I think I will have five people by the end of the week following the rules of the group buy.

I did it in the past with Klann spring compressors, everyone was more than satisfied. Thank you for your input though.

If more than 5 people, will Puma give additional discount? Possibly set up tiers beforehand. I'm an optimist, who wouldn't want e codes for $350?

It might be possible for E300 style- but the 500 E's are unique and get $100 preimum over 300E style.
If you want cheaper consider the aftermarket 300 E Euro's for $250 or so. Think Dave had some forsale on ebay.

Update as of 630pm January 7, 2004

4 people have paid, and I have recieved funds. That includes In order of payment

1. captnruff 500E fourm wanting nonfacelifted 500E euro lights with vacuum adjust kit

2. TomS from mercedesshop wanting facelifted lights 94 E500 euro lights (w/ fog), turn signals, and vacuum adjust kit

3. dieseldiehard from mercedesshop wanting non facelifted lights, with vacuum adjust kit

4. Cannoli from 500e forum wanting non facelifted 500E euro lights with vacuum adjust kit

Cashier's check was faxed and mailed for friday delivery
5. Rammunus from mercedesshop wating nonfacelifted 500E euro lights with vacuum adjust kit.

There are some about 3 stragglers that have "mailed checks" but I have not seen them yet. Since we have 5 people here we have nothing to worry about. Please check to make sure everything is correct. I would like to place the order monday, so the cut off on recieving funds to me is Friday, This friday, January 9th, 2004, but the end of business 5pm MST GMT-7.

PUMA has 2 sets of facelifted E500 euro lights and 3 sets of 500E euro lights in stock right now. They are expecting another shipment Jan 20, 2004. So we can probabaly go up to 10 people if need be, but since the euro vs dollar has gone up the price will remain the same.

All of the vacuum adjusts are taken. They came in today with my order from Germany, so if anyone wants that in a future time or you want the lights now, and then the vacuum adjust later thats fine. I will order two spares right away, and then we can go from there.

Keep in mind, This group buy price is a great deal since PUMA will have to raise its rates after the group buy because of the currency exhange, so it is great that you are taking advantage of this deal.
